Throughout the year, I host a range of workshops that give you the opportunity to play and experiment with different materials and techniques, encouraging the spark of new ideas, and helping you grow in confidence.
Each workshop includes practical guidance, demonstrations, and individual support throughout the day, as well as a wonderful lunch in the Wedgwood Tearooms. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to extend your skills with a little inspiration, these workshops are always a relaxed and friendly place to enjoy your art.

Combining the density of charcoal with the fluidity of ink to produce expressive ‘Treescapes’…Ideal for anyone wanting to loosen up their mark-making skills, and allow the medium to create interesting shapes and textures.

Textured Woodland £85 (NOW FULL)
Using simple mono-printing techniques with watercolour and acrylics to produce a series of textured woodland images. Templates will be provided if required.
You’ll cover a number of different techniques, from seeing the effects of working with a resist, to over laying colour and lifting out paint to increase contrast.
A selection of materials will be provided for use during the day.

Discover cyanotype — an easy, striking way to make timeless Prussian-blue prints with sun, shadow, and everyday objects. Perfect for beginners and small groups, this hands-on course favors playful experimentation. Create bold silhouettes, delicate botanicals, and layered compositions using negatives or found materials in relaxed, guided sessions.

Join me for a friendly and supportive three-day course developing your Portrait skills at World of Wedgwood in Staffordshire. As well as looking at the fundamentals you’ll also have time to play and experiment with other ideas to deepen your understanding and confidence.
Whether you’re new to portraiture or looking to push and refine your existing skills, this course offers a balance of practical teaching, demonstrations, and one-to-one guidance. You’ll also receive comprehensive worksheets to support your learning during the course and as a resource to take with you for future reference.

No, not at all, many participants are complete beginners. Each workshop is structured so you can learn step by step, while still giving more experienced artists room to experiment and develop their skills.

Most workshops include everything you need, but if a particular class requires you to bring something special, you’ll receive a materials list in advance.

One-day workshops usually focus on a specific technique or theme and you’ll get to complete a project in a single day. Three-day workshops allow us to dive deeper, giving you time to explore ideas more fully, develop your skills, and create more detailed work.

Typically, there are between 8-12 participants per workshop.

Yes...gift vouchers are available and make a lovely present for anyone who enjoys being creative. Please contact me to arrange one.

If you need to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible. Cancellations made 21 days in advance are eligible for a refund or credit. Unfortunately, cancellations after this time cannot be refunded, but you’re welcome to transfer your place to a friend. Please see full Terms & Conditions for further details.

Yes, the room we use is on the ground floor, with no steps and near to accessible toilet facilities. If you have other specific access needs, please get in touch.
