There’s something deeply calming about being out in nature, the quiet majesty of vast open spaces and big skies - landscapes that say ‘look at me’ then invite you to slow down, soak it all in and simply breathe. For me, painting landscapes is about capturing that sense of stillness, a moment in time, but also that quiet grandeur. I’m often drawn to water and its reflections, to the changing light between seasons, and the way colour can subtly transform the mood and atmosphere of a place.

I love working in layers, building colour, texture, and marks that encourage the eye to wander and look a little deeper. While it can often seem as if my work sits between abstraction and reality, I always aim to include a small, recognisable feature in my landscapes - a visual anchor - offering you a place to rest and a quiet sense of discovery.
