Terms & Conditions – 1-Day & 3-Day Art Workshops at Wedgwood

1. Booking & Payment

• A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place:

  • £25 for a 1-Day Workshop

  • £50 for a 3-Day Workshop

• Remaining balance due at least 3 weeks before the workshop date.

• Bookings made within 3 weeks require full payment at booking.

• Instalments available (if cost is over £100) by prior arrangement — full payment still due by the final date.

• Payment methods: bank transfer or PayPal.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

If You Cancel:

• If your place is re-filled (via my waiting list or your referral) you’ll receive a full refund minus the deposit.

• For cancellations due to a health issue covered by your travel insurance, contact your insurer for possible reimbursement.

• In some cases, I may offer partial credit toward a future Workshop at my discretion.

Notice Given Before Start Date:

If you cancel more than 21 days before the workshop, you’ll receive a full refund minus the deposit. Cancellations made less than 21 days before the workshop are non-refundable unless your place can be re-filled.

If I Cancel:

• In the unlikely event I must cancel, you’ll receive a full refund including the deposit.

• I cannot cover additional costs such as travel or accommodation.

• You may choose to transfer your payment to a rescheduled or alternative date.

3. Force Majeure

I am not liable for delays, alterations, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond my control, such as natural disasters, war, pandemics, or government restrictions.

4. Lunch & Dietary Requirements

• A light lunch is provided by Wedgwood and included in your fee.

• Please advise of any dietary needs or allergies at least 2 weeks prior.

• Unlimited refreshments are available throughout the day.

5. Materials & Equipment

• Materials for activities and demonstrations are often included.

• If specific materials are required, I’ll let you know in advance.

• Hazardous items (e.g. strong solvents) are not permitted.

• A list of optional items (e.g. sketchbooks, brushes, reference photos) may be provided before the workshop.

6. Location Information

• Workshops are held at the Wedgwood Visitor Centre, usually in the Darwin Suite.

• Free parking and Wi-Fi are available.

• If you arrive early, ask reception staff to direct you to the Darwin Suite.

7. Conduct & Behaviour

• Respectful, cooperative behaviour is expected from all participants.

• I reserve the right to ask anyone to leave (without refund) if behaviour is disruptive, abusive, or unsafe.

8. Health & Safety

• Please inform me of any health, mobility, or dietary needs in advance.

• All participants must follow venue safety rules and instructions.

9. Personal Belongings

• I am not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal items.

10. Photography & Intellectual Property

• I may take photos during the workshop for promotional purposes — let me know beforehand if you prefer not to be included.

• You may take photos for personal use but must credit the artist/instructor if sharing publicly.

• All workshop content and materials remain my intellectual property and cannot be reproduced, copied, or used to teach without written permission.

11. Minimum Attendance

If minimum participant numbers are not met, I may cancel or reschedule the workshop. In this case, you’ll be offered a full refund or transfer to another date.

12. Programme Changes

I may adjust the workshop content or schedule if needed, while maintaining quality and value.

13. Liability & Waiver

• By booking, you accept the risks involved in creative activities (e.g. use of tools or materials).

• I accept no liability for injury except in cases of proven negligence.

• You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims or damages caused by your actions.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes subject to UK courts.
