What medium do you use?

I mainly use acrylics but am venturing into more fluid materials such as ink. Details of how each painting is created usually accompanies the photograph.

Are the paintings on canvas?

Majority of my work is painted either on a canvas board that requires framing or on a boxed canvas which can be hung directly on the wall without the need for a frame. Any work on a boxed canvas will arrive ready to hang with cord attached to the back.

Some smaller pieces that have been created on high-quality watercolour paper are presented in a mount ready for framing.

Are paintings framed?

Most are sold unframed from my website as this means they can be shipped more cost effectively for you and we don’t have to worry about shipping glass.

It also means that you can have a more personal approach to choosing a frame that will compliment your home decor when you have the painting with you.

I can of course offer you advice on framing so please ask if you’d like some help. Alternatively, if you can collect direct from my studio then I can arrange framing for you.

How will my painting be packaged?

All work is carefully packed in bubble wrap with protective corners. Where necessary additional cardboard layers are included to further protect the surface. Where work on paper is being posted using a cardboard tube then each piece is first carefully wrapped in protective tissue.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, of course. You can secure the painting of your choice with a 50% deposit and then spread the remainder of the cost over the following 2 months. This is an informal agreement made with trust at no extra cost to you.

Do you do special commissions?

Yes, I do. If you have something in mind, please get in touch and we can chat through your ideas. Quotes are based on the size and complexity of each commission. Please see the Gallery page for examples and further details.
