3 Day Landscape & Sketchbook Course
10am – 4pm | £285 (includes lunch and a selection of materials to use during the course)
Suitable for all abilities, this course offers an inspiring and supportive learning experience to help you develop your landscape drawing/painting skills
During the course we’ll explore:
How to Simplify a scene – learn to break down landscapes into their basic shapes and forms in order to understand and draw their structure more successfully
Drawing methods and mark-making skills – look at different techniques to help simplify the drawing process and bring energy and expression to your drawings
Tone and value – understanding the importance of light and shadow and how they give depth and impact to your work.
Develop colour awareness – learn how to identify, mix, and use colour more effectively to suggest distance and create interest
Study individual landscape elements – explore trees, skies, water, and landforms in isolation to better understand their structure and character.
Improve paint application skills – guidance and practice in both watercolour and acrylic techniques.
Time to play – refresh your approach and creativity by having opportunities to explore and experiment with different materials and techniques.
Develop your awareness – identify your personal likes and dislikes in order to produce an individual approach to your work.
Look at different types of landscapes and art styles – to gain knowledge and inspiration
