Colour

Colour is one of the main ingredients when it comes to making art, but we so often just. take it for granted, not really giving it enough consideration.

Building our awareness of colour is crucial to the success of our paintings, it’s only by using it, mixing it and playing with it, do we really get to know and understand it.

Learn to Explore Colour

…discover your colour preferences and understand how it can influence our mood, our thinking & actions.

…use simple colour-mixing exercises to improve your skills and increase your knowledge, creating a useful reference tool to use for future paintings

…take time to play with colour and understand the value of this activity to learn about its application, which colours are transparent and which are opaque, building awareness.

…learn about colour as a compositional tool and its ability to direct our eye around the canvas.
